The goal of this project is to provide the greater chemical engineering community with a useful and relevant resource on chemical process design methods and case studies. This project is being constructed by the instructor (Fengqi You), TAs and students of "CHEM_ENG 352: Chemical Engineering Design Projects" course in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department at Northwestern University. Initial construction of this resource began in Winter 2014, and will continue in future years with other groups of students.

The articles in this page are all written by teams of 3-4 senior chemical engineering students, and are reviewed by the course instructor and the TA. Using this approach, the instructor and the TAs act as managing editors, selecting broad threads for the text and suggesting references. In contrast to other courses, the students take an active role in their education by selecting which material in their assigned section is most useful and decide on the presentation approach.

If you have any comments or suggestions on this open textbook, please contact Prof. Fengqi You.
