My name is Scott Smith and I am a chemical engineering undergraduate at Northwestern University with a minor in biotechnology. I am currently enrolled in the chemical engineering senior design course (ChE 352) in which small teams work to design and describe an industrial chemical process. I am a member of Team B1 which is researching an industrial process for converting biomass to bio-ethanol and finally to ethylene.
